I find that although my email address is in my profile setup, it does not appear when the profile is displayed when selecting it with the Profile button. This means that nobody can contact me. There is also no Email button like there used to be on the old site.
Also, there seems to be no Private Messaging. Is this the way you have configured the site or am I missing some setup items somewhere?

I notice that I cannot see anyone's email icon. I can see the website icon and I did see a Yahoo icon.

Were you seeing them some days ago ? We have not modified anything lately.
As a workaround you could write your email in your profile signature

No, I don't remember ever seeing them. Perhaps you are only seeing them because you are the admin?

We have to check the admin panel to see if there is an option to activate it.
In phpbb3 the control panel is much more complex than in phpbb2
