Fine tuning a pocketPC

mobile 6 +

Is someone aware of tips how to speed up a pocketPC and setup a WLan.

Which programs on a PPC are not necessary for a professional deployment?

Thanks in advance

Antonio,
We used Symbol MC 50 with mobile 5 which run much faster than now the PA 500 Unitech mobile 6 device.
To reconnected to WLAN the Unitech takes about 10 sec.

Also I thought it would be better to delete all the programs (IE, Outlook, ActiveSync, etc ) which are not necessary for the proper application.

Best regards,
Otto

Otto,

Yes, we have also noticed that Windows Mobile 6 is slower than version 5. You can check this on the emulator too.

Microsoft should learn that new versions should be faster, not slower. Same mistakes as they did with Vista :-)

Antonio,

Good that we have FIVEWIN which executes fast on all systems from WINDOWS 3.0 on.

I thought this thread could be for all tips someone read about tuning possibilities of the pocketPC.
Also suggestions of hardware.

Best regards,
Otto

Battery - Turn power off value
The value is number of seconds.

HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Control/Power/Timeouts/BattSuspendTimeout
300 = 5 Minuten
900 = 15 Minuten
