How do you use ribbonBar in an application

I have a main window and a RibbonBar on the top.
Now I want to insert some functionality.
How would you suggest to inset the different controls?
For example I want a dialog to select a report on one attached to a button of the RibbonBar.
To another button another dialog.
How should this be done?

Can the resource editor be used I mean not for the ribbonBar but for the dialogs?
