Hi,
redefine get var1 of odlg id 101 message "well come "
But the message never show on dialog .
In DOS times, it will show on the bottom line of the screen.
Why or how?

Try defining a status bar.

You need to have a message bar on your main window where the msg is shown.

Please review samples\Dbf01.prg and "record by record" menu option in that sample.

Status bar = Message bar.

But message bar is often covered by ms windows task bar, how to solve this ?
