Hi All

Just wondering what tools Fivewin developers are building web apps with.

Cheers

Hi Colin,

I have not developed anything yet, but I am seriusly looking at KoolPhp Suite:

They have self explanatory examples, and the configuration is very similar to the way we use FiveWin Classes...

We are working on 3 projects, all in production, the web part is based on LAMP, PHP+CodeIgniter+JQuery+960.gs. and the desktop modules are written in FWH + MySQL (via ADO)

I use no tools, only a text editor. And with it I write HTML, JavaScript and ASP/VBScript.

Hi to all,

I use:

  • xBScript (non-commercial version) with IIS Windows server, developing in ASP
  • Jquery for graph, calendar and others controls
  • Google Maps API (JavaScript) for locate places (customer facilities, etc.)
  • Selida for HTML editing and preview

All apps succesfully developed and in production now.

Best Regards,

Hello,

Does anyone have an opinion on FiveWeb?

Hello,

Fiveweb seems very good but it relies on one person. I can´t trust a man which does not provide full source code.

I think Fivetech is working on some product that can allow us to produce web apps with very little changes in source code. And we always get the support of Fivetech.

I also would love to have FiveWeb by FiveTech.
But as I cannot wait any longer I tried AlphaFive (www.alphafive.com) with good success.
It supports DBFs and the functions are the same as in xHarbour. Their programming language is different, but a lot can be done without programming.
