Es de justicia decirlo. En http://bitelia.com/2013/01/ejecutar-pro ... -windows-8, hablan muy bien de Windows 8, incluso siendo previamente usuario de Windows 7. En el art铆culo direccionado, el autor no explica por qu茅 ve mejor W8 que W7. No habla de experiencias con programas concretos. Tampoco de su feeling ante una pantalla sin ventanas.
Por cierto, propongo rebautizar Windows 8 como NoWin o como ButtonFlat : no hay ventanas que justifiquen el nombre.
Hola que tal soy Luis Rosales, consulto el foro en ocasiones pues he dejado de usar FWH y me enfocado a VS con C# , sin embargo sobre este tema de windows 8 te comento que yo lo he instalado y me ha trabajado de maravilla a diferencia de windows 7, pues windows 8 administra mucho mejor la memoria de tu equipo, eso es un hecho, compile algunas apps en fwh + xharbour sobre windows 8 y fue mucho mas r谩pido mas 谩gil... en mi opini贸n me quedo con windows 8.

A mi Windows 8 me parece el mejor Windows que existe hasta la fecha 
El problema que le veo es que en algunos aspectos es muy disruptivo respecto a Windows 7, lo que se traduce a que puede no tener la aceptaci贸n deseada. De momento las ventas de Navidad no han estado a la altura esperada. Muy por debajo de las expectativas de venta.
Adem谩s sale al mundo en un momento de gran crisis econ贸mica lo cual no le ser谩 nada favorable, y no olvidemos que el m谩s feroz competidor de Windows es el propio Windows (7 y XP principalmente), ya que al funcionar muy bien, hace que los usuarios no deseen cambiar lo que ya les funciona bien
Y puesto que los usuarios finales son al final los que tienen la 煤ltima palabra, de ellos depende que Windows 8 sea un 茅xito 贸 un fracaso (aunque tecnicamente fuese injusto hablar de fracaso), pero las ventas mandan (asi funciona el sistema econ贸mico en el que vivimos)

I work in a small Computer repair and software development shop. I am starting to see some Windows 8 machines walk in the door from Customers who purchased or got Windows 8 as a Christmas gift.
From my initial Customer's response, most seem to work directly from the 'desktop' tile and the other tiles seem to just be 'clutter' ( eye candy ) to most folks. After being in State government for 18 years, my old business contacts have NOT embraced Windows 8 at all! Too much 'clutter', extra steps to login to a domain and then ( again ) users have to click on the 'desktop' tile to get to their applications.
I Understand that Microsoft has spent a lot of money and development of WinRT, but ( personally ) I feel the tiles ( in a business setting ) are nothing more than a distraction.
I would not be surprised at all if Win8 SP1 would not have the option of allowing the user to chose a 'classic' desktop or 'tiles' ..

IMO there are two ways to develop software that should be combined into a single one:
Be visionary. Be able to anticipate the future, based on trends, common sense, easiness, catching a market oportunity.
Listen to the users. They are the ones that really know what they want and need. Pay good attention to them. Provide them what they want and need.
If both are combined, then the software evolves and at the same time makes users happy. They are satisfied. They feel that the developers are progressing the right way. As a basic rule: never go against your users. Adapt yourself to their needs, not the opposite.
A simple example: I don't enjoy having the same picture as the desktop backgound. I enjoy using the main background as a "window" to see the world: so I always install several apps (on Windows, Mac and Linux) to have a dynamic background from (great photos) flickr (or others). This is something so simple. None of the availables operating systems offer this. Do they pay enough attention to users (because those apps that I use to change the desktop background have being downloaded thousands times!) ?
Una opinion favorable que yo le veo es que los programas de fwh funcionan.

Entiendo que se pueden usar los programas hechos con Fwh sin hacer nada.
Tego esta duda ya que me he quedado sin portatil y debo comprar uno. Todos vienen con W8 64 bits instalado y tengo la duda de si todos los programas comerciales funcionan correctamente.

Las aplicaciones con FWH funcionan correctamente en Windows 8.
La 煤nica limitaci贸n que tienes con una versi贸n de Windows de 64 bits es que no puedes ejecutar aplicaciones de 16 bits. Por ejemplo, el antiguo Clipper.exe no funciona por ser de 16 bits. Harbour funciona correctamente
