internet explorer remote desktop

Hello,

Is the way internet explorer works similar to remote desktop.
Can we say that internet explorer is kind of remote desktop client or is this completely wrong.

I don´t think so. Internet explorer "asks a question" to the server and waits for the answer. Once connected RD has kind of its own life.
