Today Timm sent me this email:

Hi Antonio!

Alright, I would prefer if we set an amount and 6000 Euro is fine for me.


So lets go for it! :-)

Lets organize it this way (if someone of you has a better proposal, please let me know it, here or by email if you prefer to talk confidentially):

1. My PayPal account is: alinares@fivetechsoft.com

2. For all of you that are interested to get EasyReport + Full source code: You have to send me a 100 euros donation. Important: you will not receive it until the total amount is paid to Timm.

3. If you are able to donate more than 100 euros, please do so. We really need the help from all of you.

4. If your company has the funds to pay 6.000 euros (or less), please let me know it. We will use your money and then we will return it to you from the donations.

5. if you have a better solution, please say it :-)

Congratulations to all of us, this is going to be simply great for FWH and all of us !!!

Great news indeed!

Question: what happens to the donations if the full amount is not raised within a reasonable time? Will the donations (investments) be refunded?

Antonio,

Could you please summarize what is available in Easy Report ? I haven't looked at it in many years.

I currently do not use a report generator for my product(s). All of my reports are "hard coded". However, I do have an interest in incorporating a program that would allow my clients to generate their own reports. Is this a capability of Easy Report ?

Roger,

If we are not able to collect all the money, I have a few customers that may be interested in helping, and my plan would be to contact them. Anyhow I would rather prefer that we do it ourselves so we don't get any obligation with a certain company. Its a great oportunity and we should all do our best to take advantage of it.

If for any reason we don't reach the amount, in order to send back the money to all of you, PayPal will charge expenses and those expenses will be deducted from your given money. I think this is quite reasonable and we will all agree on it :-) (edited: in fact PayPal already deducts a certain amount when you send your donations, please keep this in mind)

Yes, thats exactly what you will get using EasyReport. Have a look at this EasyReport screenshot and now realize that this software will be built in your application, and fully available to your users if you want to, wow! :-) (edited: and all into a single EXE, no DLLs required!)

And once we get its source code, we will be able to visually enhance it much more, think of it with a RibbonBar, ADO support, etc.

Imagine all the features that we will be able to include in it, as we will have its full source code and its entirely built using Harbour + FWH :-)

Many thanks, Of course that we will refund the money if we don't reach the amount. We will just deduct PayPal expenses.
