Dear Antonio,

Is there a new version of FWPPC that connects to MS SQL? I have a version from 09/2009 and was wondering if there was something newer?

Thank you,

Darrell,

The most recent FWPPC is 15.03 version (this year)

Basically the advantages are:

  • New: We are using most recent Harbour 3.4 from Vikthor.

  • New: FWPPC is using Visual Studio 2013

We are using a more recent Harbour version than the one that we used for FWPPC previously, so all the recent Harbour
code should work fine

regards, saludos

Darrell,

I am going to ask Toni Sales as he is an advanced FWPPC user and he helped us to build this new FWPPC version

regards, saludos

Darrell,

As Windows CE supports ADO, specifically ADOCE:

The first thing you need to know about ADOCE is that it is a subset of ADO

and as this new FWPPC uses Harbour 3.4 (as Viktor helped us to make it FWPPC compatible), then theoretically
Harbour ADO could be used from FWPPC apps so you should be able to manage MS SQL. I have not tested it myself.
