Under WinXP calling GetPvProfString from a FWH/xHarbour app causes the .ini file to be created if it does not exist. This is also true using FW 16-bit

However, it appears that calling GetPvProfString from an xHarbour/FWH app on Win98 causes a gpf if the .ini file does not already exist. This seemed odd and I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem.

What callstack list do you get on the GPF ?

I get a gpf in krnl386.exe. Pretty strange. I'm going to try some more tests and I'll let you know what I come up with.
