I would really have liked to go with your advise, but now I found out that in our company we use Borland C. So I will have to stick to Borland C too.

now I managed to get local help and I think my environment will be ready by tomorrow. Then I will be really happy if you allow me more questions that sure will come :-)

It is fine, FWH supports both of them with no issues :-)

I use fivewin with the xmate editor and link the RC, to edit the RC I use pelles c.

thank you for kindly offering your help.
I am all good for now...thankfully I got the whole environment set up and am ready to go :-)
