Is this legal?
Posted: Sun Jun 09, 2024 08:26 AM

Dear friends,

If I have a working Apache/mod_harbour installation and create a ZIP file from it for my customers, including my web application, and make it available for download, how does this affect the copyright of Apache/mod_harbour?

This would be by far the easiest installation.

Best regards,

Otto

Dear Otto,
The Apache Web Server is licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0 (also known as the Apache-2.0 license). This is a permissive free software license that allows users to freely use, modify, and distribute the software
No problems at all :-)

Dear Antonio,

Thank you very much for your response.

That means we can provide a click-and-run installation for the mod harbour server.

One would only need to additionally install the vcruntime140.dll.

Best regards,

Otto
