Hello friends,
I believe the reason there isn’t more demand for web programming here is mainly because the willingness to truly learn something new is often missing. Yet it opens up an entirely new world. As Ludwig Wittgenstein said: “The limits of your language are the limits of your world.”
If you only rely on wrappers or “layers,” you are limiting yourself—almost as if you were always traveling with an interpreter instead of learning the language yourself.
Another reason is that people tend to expect the same level of perfection as with well-established desktop programs. But especially at the beginning, it’s better to let go of that.
My advice: just get started. It’s fun—and it keeps you young.
Best regards,
Otto
