RPREVIEW and TPRINTER in Windows Vista

Hello,

Today, I tested my application on Windows Vista for the first time.

Everything is running fine (Vista looks much faster on a dualcore processor than XP).

Only one minor problem : if I start a report through RPREVIEW and TPRINTER, it lasts a few seconds before the report is started. When the preview is shown and the CLOSE-button is pushed, it lasts a few seconds once again before the preview vanishes.

Does anyone have any idea why ?

Fivewin and vista work OK

What you describe is a side effect of "Aero windows theme"

Change you "theme" to any non aero and you're set.

I put the theme to "Windows Classic", but the problems remains.

Michael,

I think it can be related to create/delete temporary files...
Maybe you can test it including a msgalert(time()) before and after create/delete temporary files...

Hi Michel,
I am testing our huge app on Vista. xHarbour/FWH 32-bit app
Everything works perfect. No lag when viewing reports. Everyting is faster under Vista, including reports
maybe you have some specific aproach?
