Problem with Search on this forum

I try to search this forum for similar problems to mine before I add a new topic, but I have a problem with that.

If the search results goes to more than one page, when you click on Page 2 or 3 or 4 or next etc. It says "no topics found to display".

Can this be resolved?

(Apologies for using the Forum itself for reporting this. )

Many thanks

Ollie.

Ollie,

I have never had this problem. I just did a search for "button" in the FWH section and it worked fine.

Did this only happen to you once, or many times? If once, then maybe it was a temporary Internet problem.

It happens all the time. Can never see beyond the first page of results. (I usually use the show as POSTS option)

I have cleared temp files and cookies - still same.

Please test your side with "show as POSTS" option on

Many thanks

Ollie.

Ollie,

Works for me that way also.

I am using IE 7.0. What browser are you using? The error you are getting sounds like a server error, but I am just wondering if it might be the browser creating the problem.

Searching for button, and leaving all defaults,

I could see page 2, but the other pages failed.

Here is the link I get (that fails):

http://fivetechsoft.com/forums/search.p ... start=550

Ollie,

This is the problem:

http://fivetechsoft.com/forums/search.p ... start=550

At the end see where it says "start=550"? 550 is the number of the first message for the page. When I search for "button" and I click on "2" the URL is shown like this:

http://fivetechsoft.com/forums/search.p ... 5start=30

I get the same thing when clicking on "Next" instead of the page number.

I don't know how you are getting to the point where you get 550?

Can you tell me eactly the steps you are taking to get to this point?

James

Search
enter: Button in first field

Click Search

(695 matches)

Page 12 link is : http://fivetechsoft.com/forums/search.p ... &start=550

Page 2 Link is: http://fivetechsoft.com/forums/search.p ... 7&start=50

Both fail with : No topics or posts met your search criteria

Many thanks

Ollie.

Ollie,

OK, I get the same links as you (except for the search_id), but everything works.

The only other thing I can think of is to try it using a different PC if you have one available.
